How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
We sent an eblast out through mailchimp announcing our launch and that was the first huge sales day! After that, we have experienced a steady growth through public relations social media, print editorial, word of mouth and return customers!
Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?
We use the discount feature, the gift card feature, the blog feature. We use Shipwire, Constant Contact, Yotpo and Product Upsell. We cannot say enough about Shopify and how easy and effective it has been. Our products are warehoused and shipped out through Shipwire.
What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?
Shopify makes this easy and fun. I have the app on my phone that keeps me up to date, I can always see the top referring websites, which makes me aware of media hits for my products, and doing refunds and analyzing sales reports is a complete breeze.
